Most people would assume that you can only use the coupons you receive from specific stores at those stores, but that’s just not the case. The Home Depot likes to know that they are price-matching their competitors, and this sometimes means that they will honor any coupons you have received from other hardware stores.
So, if you have a coupon from Lowe’s, you could hand it over to a manager and see whether they can work their magic. While we can’t guarantee that they will always accept these coupons, there’s no harm in asking.
