There are few home emergencies quite as nerve-wracking as burst water pipes. You’ll call in a professional plumber, obviously, but what do you do until then? Just watch helplessly as water keeps pouring out of the pipe – and your water bill keeps ticking ever upwards? Heck no.
Run down to you local hardware store and buy a silicone sealant, and simply inject it around the hole as best you can. While it’s far from a permanent solution, it should buy you enough time to call in the cavalry.
