Ebony and three of her children suffer from chronic health challenges. Her youngest daughter, for example, is partially blind in one eye, and has Lupus. Hospital bills had always acted as a drain for the family’s savings. Then, her middle son suffered severe burns in an accident when he was playing near a campfire.
For a little while, it seemed like Ebony had secured a safe haven for her family, but now, with the family savings gone, homelessness was lurking around the corner one more time.
