While Britain is not such a powerful state anymore and the public is now more concerned what what the royal family is wearing, they were once an Empire on which the sun never set.
Even though the U.K. is not the empire it once was, they still have a large military with advanced technological capabilities. In addition to having a great intelligence service, they also possess some of the most state-of-the-art cyber tech. However, the army is still struggling to find new recruits as most British citizens are uninterested in enlisting.
