In Egypt, there is only one institution which truly has all of the power. It isn’t the parliament nor the president, but the military.
The Egyptian Armed Forces are not only the largest and most powerful military on the African continent, but it also provides nearly everything for the populace. The military produces food, clothes, medicine, cement, baby formula, and even diapers for the citizens of Egypt. They do all this while also fighting ISIS in Sinai as well as Islamists inhabiting the country’s western deserts.
