The stewardess took Denny’s hand and looked into his eyes. She explained how her own son was once in the military, having been stationed in Iraq. She wanted Denny to know how personally grateful she was for him being so thoughtful.
She said with joy in her heart, “It feels as though you are doing it for my son too.” Denny felt blessed that the stewardess decided to share her story, and as he sat back down in his seat, he felt pleased that he decided to make the gesture.
