In approximately 35 square miles of forest, it’s nearly impossible to find anyone. So, it was hard to blame them for stopping the search. The family returned back to Spain after that, devastated. But despite the local authorities’ withdrawal from the case, missing persons advocate made a statement.
He said that he promised that they will continue the search and will do whatever they can to help Carlos’ family, in the hopes “that one day they can embrace the son who left them… all those years ago.”
