Many people believe that Niagara Falls is one large waterfall. However, it is actually made up of three separate waterfalls: Bridal Veil Falls, American Falls, and the famous Horseshoe Falls. It was American Falls that got people worrying.
Canadian and American authorities needed to team up to get the waterfall back to its former glory. They spoke to the International Joint Commission, and everyone agreed that the US Army Corps of Engineers could step in to help protect American Falls.
