Everyone who makes their way onto the Maid of the Mist for a trip close to the waterfall will have to wear a poncho to keep them safe because there’s no doubt about the fact that things get pretty wet and wild.
As if the spray from the waterfall itself wasn’t enough, you then have to account for the fact that the power of the water causes huge ripples in the water below, meaning that the boat journey itself can get pretty rough. However, those that have done it have said that it’s one of the best experiences of their lives.
