National Frontier State Park Commission had an announcement to make back in 2016. They plan on drying up American Falls once again sometime soon. This is to help renovate the bridge between mainland and Goat Island.
The island earned its name after a farmer rowed his goats to the island to keep them away from wolves. People are now wondering if draining the waterfall again could give answers to more missing people cases in the area since 1969. For now, only time will tell.
