By November 1969, the team had done everything they could. It was time to remove the temporary dam. They slowly took it down until the water raged back down the riverbed, and American Falls was complete once again.
However, it turns out that Niagara Falls is not the same as it once was. All the industrial work in the area and the diverting of the water for hydroelectric power means the waterfalls now look a lot different from the ones that were discovered hundreds of years ago.
