Canada and the US have been working closely for many years to make sure that Niagara Falls remains for as long as possible. Now, it looks as though the two nations have come up with a simple solution to keep everyone happy.
Throughout the night and winter, around 75% of the water is diverted to hydroelectric plants. However, in the summer and days when tourists are more likely to be at the waterfalls, the local businesses only divert 50% of the water. This is to try and help keep it looking powerful.
