It turns out that something else was lying at the bottom of the water. As the water dried out and the calm settled, people noticed something shiny in the riverbed. They looked a little closer and soon learned there were hundreds, if not thousands, of coins.
They were all coins that people had tossed into the water to make a wish. It wasn’t long before tourists ran out onto the dry waterfall and started scooping up as many coins as they could get their hands on.
