Although the team went around and around looking for answers to the issue, they ultimately decided to leave the talus in place. That’s right; they’d drained American Falls and didn’t even remove the rock. However, their plan wasn’t in vain.
The team actually helped protect the waterfall and preserve it for many generations to come. The machines mean that authorities can now see if there’s going to be a landslide in the area or if there are any significant changes.
